Auburn School Committee approves 2026-27 handbook updates

Auburn School Committee unanimously approved student handbook updates and budget transfers for 2026-2027. The meeting was dominated by recognition of outgoing Chair Jessie Harrington, who served 12 years on the committee and four years as chair, receiving tributes from Superintendent Beth Chamberland and committee member Meghan McCrillis, along with citations from State Senator Moore and Representative Paul Frost. In operational updates, Dr.
Chamberland reported that bus registration fees will rise to $150 per child after May 1 and that returning student registration has been extended to May 8 with approximately 443 of 2,300 students still needing to complete submissions.
