Board approves updated emergency management plan

Auburn Select Board unanimously approves emergency management plan and town manager goals. Emergency Management Director Eric Otterson presented the five-year update, confirming Auburn High School as the primary shelter with a newly funded generator. In separate 4-0 votes, the board endorsed the FY2027 Town Manager Goals including studies on staffing and building infrastructure, approved the Fall Special Town Meeting Timeline with warrant opening moved to mid-August, and voted to honor retiring School Superintendent Dr.
Elizabeth Chamberland. Treasurer/Collector Catherine Spanos reported collecting $58 million in FY2025, while Recreation Director Kristen Pappas outlined summer programming including an eight-week camp with ARPA-funded discounts, and fire station contractor Castagna was selected at approximately 10 percent under budget.
