Auburn Conservation Commission approves emergency erosion order; continues three hearings. Chair Michael W. Garland led the board to unanimously approve an emergency enforcement order for erosion control near Washington Street and Old Common, identified by member Michelle L.
Culross; the Department of Public Works was already aware. Three public hearings were continued to March 25: an amended cemetery Order of Conditions at 0 Cemetery Road (Todd Kirton, Tighe & Bond); commercial and industrial renovation Notice of Intent at 47 and 49 Rockland Road (Michael Marinis, InSite Engineering); and a drainage-improvement project at 15 Hardscrabble Road (Walsh Engineering). The commission also discussed establishing notification protocols for town agencies to alert it to incidents affecting public water resources, following discussion of unusual conditions at Dark Brook Reservoir.
