Conservation Commission approves cemetery order amendment

Auburn Conservation Commission votes to amend cemetery project Order of Conditions. The board unanimously approved reducing post-construction water monitoring at the proposed cemetery site at 0 Cemetery Road from four years to two years, following requests from applicant Todd Kirton and Tighe & Bond Engineering. Kirton had sought relief from soil-testing requirements per truck load; the commission declined that request but agreed to the shortened water-monitoring term.
The revised conditions require quarterly sampling of six monitoring wells and two private wells for two years post-construction under the Phase Four Remedial Implementation Plan. The board also continued a public hearing for a stormwater drainage project at 15 Hardscrabble Road and voted to contact a resident regarding an unpermitted debris obstruction on Kettle Brook.
