Conservation Commission · Meeting of September 23, 2026

Auburn Conservation Commission, chaired by Michael W. Garland, voted 6-0 on all six conservation matters at its September 23 meeting. The board approved an Order of Conditions for a brownfield remediation and commercial development project at 481 Washington Street, requiring test pit data submission and reinforced silt fencing.

The commission issued negative determinations for two Auburn DPW road projects (South Street and Leicester Street), meaning the work requires no further conservation review. The board approved a Certification of Compliance for 5 Friedel Street and reinstated the DPW Blanket Order of Conditions with revised activities and a Standard Operating Procedure reference. In enforcement, the commission issued an enforcement order against 510 Washington Street for unauthorized wetland work.
