Library board approves Wi-Fi hotspot lending policy

AUBURN — Library board approves Wi-Fi lending and circulation policies. Auburn Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously Thursday to approve a new Wi-Fi hotspot lending program offering four units to patrons, and to adopt revised circulation procedures addressing recent changes from the library's network partner, CW Mars. The board also unanimously approved a revised Merriam Room Policy.
Director Michael Zeller reported that town officials approved substantial FY27 budget increases including 32,000 dollars for materials, 28,639 dollars for a full-year reference librarian position, and 12,640 dollars to convert the Library Associate Director to full-time status, bringing the library back to a sustainable operating baseline after years of understaffing.
