Planning Board approves fire station site plan; reorganizes leadership.

Planning Board · Meeting of January 13, 2026

Auburn Planning Board approves fire station site plan, with construction set for mid-April 2027. The unanimous vote came after Graves Engineering signed off on revised plans for 10 Prospect Street; primary truck access will run from Prospect Street, with an emergency-only secondary entrance near Duncan Park. Project Manager Joe Sullivan from Left Field indicated completion is targeted for October 2027.

In reorganization voting, Jason Asirifi was elected Chair and Ron Brooks Vice Chair, each on 4-0 votes. The board continued two other significant applications: Todd Ostrokolowicz's Quality Contracting modification at 282 Southbridge Street to January 27, and New Singular Wireless's telecommunications facility at 174 Leicester Street to February 10.
