Planning Board opens Nancy Drive public hearing, seeks road assessment
Planning Board · Meeting of March 10, 2026
Auburn Planning Board opens Nancy Drive road-acceptance hearing after 55-year process. The board voted unanimously to open a public hearing on the potential acceptance of Nancy Drive as a public way, reviving a 1971 review process that faltered when A Street was found not to meet town standards. Assistant Town Manager Paul Dell'Aquila noted that the Department of Public Works now approves Nancy Drive for acceptance.
The board voted unanimously to continue discussion to March 24, requesting that town officials explore funding for soil core samples to assess the road's condition before final adoption.
