Select Board · Meeting of October 13, 2026

Auburn Select Board accepted nearly $97,000 in police grants and took positions on nine articles for the October 27 Special Town Meeting. Police Chief Scott Mills said the Municipal Road Safety Grant ($30,327.72), State 911 EMD Grant ($3,628.80), and State 911 Training Grant ($63,021.76) supplement departmental resources without replacing budgeted costs, with the Board voting unanimously. Assistant Town Manager Paul Dell'Aquila reported the town was also awarded a $390,000 HousingWorks Infrastructure Grant for design of a 1.25-mile shared-use path along Route 20/Route 12.

The Board recommended approval of school funding articles and declined to recommend a proposal to borrow $1.4 million for Water Street Culvert replacement, preferring stabilization funds instead.
