Auburn Select Board approves vehicle sales license on divisive three-to-one vote. Vice Chair Todd M. Kirrane moved approval for EZ Cars Motors LLC at 85 South Street, seconded by Member Steve Chambers; Chair Anne M.
Cavanaugh voted yes; Member Daniel S. Carpenter voted no, citing inadequate parking for 38 vehicles. The Board unanimously set the May 5 Annual Town Meeting warrant timeline: opens January 12, closes February 23 at 7 PM.
The Board unanimously approved three fire station equipment specifications: Verkada security, Plymovent exhaust extraction, and Automated Logic HVAC controls. Early site work for the fire station generated estimated cost savings of $350,000 to $400,000.
