Zoning Board · Meeting of October 15, 2026
AUBURN — The Auburn Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approved a variance and two special permits for a new PFAS water treatment facility at 76 Church Street. Chair Robert Tatro ran the meeting with only four voting members after Vice Chair Michael Marin, Meghan Roche and Katelyn Bushe were absent, elevating associate members Christian Adamiak and John Shea to full voting status. Engineer Katie Carrera told the board the Church Street wells exceed the federal PFAS limit of four parts per trillion, calling the compounds "forever chemicals." The roughly 3,950-square-foot facility is expected to begin construction around summer 2027 and take about a year and a half.
The board also approved garage projects at 14 and 10 Rotary Road, 4-0 each, and continued September's minutes to November.
