AUBURN — The Auburn Housing Authority board pressed its executive director's office over missing timesheets and vehicle logs while a tenant alleged retaliation. The board voted unanimously to require all staff, including Executive Director Laurie Brennan, to use professional email addresses through the agency's IT provider instead of personal Gmail accounts. Resident Carrie Moriarty of Package Home Village told the board "it's slander, and I'm tired of it," detailing complaints about a strict work-order system and a years-overdue resident safety survey that previously found 64 percent of respondents felt unsafe due to broken door locks.
A board member said timesheets for the executive director have been missing from the packet for August, September and October, and flagged an $18,000 construction-company check and a possible duplicate payroll entry in the Auburn Revolving account. "The fiduciary responsibility is ours and we're not seeing any of that," the board member said. The board also tabled approval of the September 8 minutes pending a video review of whether a motion received a required second.
