Planning board approves warehouse project on Washington Street

Auburn Planning Board approves 75,200-square-foot warehouse project for Washington Street. Chair Ron Brooks and members voted unanimously to approve the site plan major modification for 190 Washington Street featuring six buildings, 150 parking spaces, and up to 23 individual tenant spaces. The applicant committed to constructing two turning lanes on Washington Street with work beginning in fall and resuming after winter.
The board also voted 4-0 to recommend a one-year data center moratorium through October 27, 2027, to the Select Board, declining to endorse an outright ban, allowing Auburn to study impacts and develop restrictions on data center size and operations.
