Select Board schedules September hearing on mobile home rent control

Select Board · Meeting of June 8, 2026

Auburn schedules September public hearing on mobile home park rent control. Select Board Member Daniel S. Carpenter initiated the discussion, explaining that he wished to continue the conversation following Annual Town Meeting.

The Board unanimously authorized Auburn Fire Rescue to apply for a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant to replace thirty-two self-contained breathing apparatus units and a breathing compressor, and endorsed a conservation restriction protecting the historic Pakachoag village spring site at the Auburn-Worcester border. The September public hearing will allow residents, property owners, and interested parties to share perspectives before the Board decides whether to establish a committee or pursue additional regulation.
