Finance Committee approves $157,640 in midyear budget transfers

Auburn Finance Committee approved $157,640 in mid-year budget transfers to cover emergency expenses through June 30. The largest allocations addressed legal services ($30,000, following a law firm change and increased rates), fuel costs ($25,000 for winter weather and price increases), and Police Department overtime ($28,400). Fire/Rescue services received $22,860 for medical supplies and overtime; Public Works was allocated $20,000 for operations and Fourth of July staffing; and Public Services transferred $15,048 for utilities and library operations, including $8,500 to cover full-time hours for a transitioning part-time library associate.
