Superintendent Skaza unveiled entry plan with three priority areas

Auburn School Committee approves routine contracts and student activity measures. Superintendent R.J. Skaza announced listening sessions for September 24 at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., with a possible virtual option, as part of his entry plan.
The committee unanimously approved Massachusetts School Buying Group Contracts for 2026-2027 and established maximum checking account balances of $15,000 for Auburn High School and $12,000 for Auburn Middle School. Food service reported 63 percent lunch and 37 percent breakfast enrollment in the first eight days of school, with Kim Dulmaine introduced as interim director. Utility costs increased: electricity from $0.1267 to $0.14504 per kilowatt-hour for four years and natural gas from $0.8990 to $0.9590 per therm for 30 months.
