Zoning panel OKs height amendment, inclusionary housing updates

Auburn zoning panel votes to raise Regional Mall height restrictions to 80 feet. The committee voted 3-0 to increase from 35 feet, with special permits allowing 110 feet, based on Urban Land Institute analysis showing the current limits are restrictive compared to other town business districts. The committee also unanimously approved inclusionary zoning updates clarifying rental and for-sale unit designations and eliminating a procedural loop, forwarding both amendments to the Planning Board.
