Zoning committee unanimously advances inclusionary housing bylaw
Zoning Bylaw Review Committee · Meeting of June 1, 2026
Auburn zoning panel unanimously advances inclusionary housing bylaw proposal. The Zoning Bylaw Review Committee voted unanimously to move the bylaw to the Planning Board, responding to projections that the town's affordable housing inventory will fall from 11.48 percent to 9.9 percent if the Perry Place development project becomes invalid. The committee also voted unanimously to proceed without exempting the Regional Mall District or any zone from the proposal.
Paul Dell'Aquila, Assistant Town Manager and Director of Economic Development, provided data showing the bylaw would have had minimal impact had it been enacted 10 years prior.
