AUBURN — October 22, 2025 — Auburn School Committee unanimously approves private music lesson partnership and $75,000 state earmark for a new passenger van. The committee voted without dissent Wednesday to partner with Package Music School to restore on-site private and small-group lessons at Auburn High School, with the school handling all registration, staffing, and billing at no cost to the district; Music Director Miss Bailey said the program, targeting 30 to 40 students, could launch as early as December 1. Superintendent Dr. Chamberlain also announced that Senator Moore's office had secured a $75,000 earmark for the purchase of a 15-passenger van for the Rise, Evolve, and Encore special programs, with an identified vehicle priced at approximately $73,000. The committee additionally voted to approve a state-mandated career and technical education pathway exploration policy for Auburn Middle School, formalizing the district's existing collaboration with Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School ahead of a November 1 state submission deadline. Seven motions were approved unanimously across the session.
