Auburn sees 11 deed transfers in September, but pricing data lags for most sales

Worcester County Registry of Deeds records show 11 Auburn property transfers between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, but only two carry a recorded sale price so far: $107,000 and $395,000, for a median of $251,000 between them. The top recorded sale was 67 Pakachoag St. at $395,000. Several other transfers involve mortgage-servicing entities such as Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems Inc. and Freedom Mortgage Corp., while a few others, on Central Street, Laurel Street and Old Farm Road, appear to keep property within the same family or trust. Nine of the 11 sales have no price yet in registry records, so this period's overall market tone cannot be fully assessed until that data posts.
