Auburn's Economic Development Committee re-elects top officers and discusses updating planning documents. Chair Mary K. Joyal, Vice Chair Lindsay Baker, and Secretary Patrick Jones were each re-elected by 3-0 votes.
Assistant Town Manager Paul Dell'Aquila reported the committee is considering whether to hire an external consultant to help update the town's Master Plan and Strategic Plan, with members noting that volunteer-driven efforts may fall short of objectives. The committee also received updates on pending zoning changes designed to maintain Auburn's affordable housing compliance under Massachusetts' Chapter 40B statute.
