Auburn Conservation Commission reelects leadership, hires erosion consultant. Michael W. Garland was unanimously reelected chair and Ricky J.

Arisme appointed vice chair during annual reorganization. The commission voted unanimously to hire an environmental consultant to address soil erosion at 47 Rockland Road, where installed erosion barriers have not fully resolved sedimentation concerns and long-term corrective work remains suspended pending a state Department of Environmental Protection appeal expected in fall. The commission also issued a negative determination of applicability for 39 Prospect Street, confirming an old farm ditch does not constitute jurisdictional wetland.
