Commission approves golf simulator, delays Dunkin review

Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 26, 2026

AUBURN — Conservation Commission delayed its Dunkin decision pending peer engineering review of the 481 Washington Street brownfield project. Commission Chair Michael Garland requested time to review a Graves Engineering peer report and Department of Environmental Protection comments, noting the applicant remains at "the 20-yard line, but is not ready for the end zone." The project has 90 days to secure all required permits before the development deal expires. In separate actions, the Commission unanimously approved amended plans for a golf simulator at 615 Southbridge Street with deed-restriction recording requirements and issued a negative determination for a DPW sidewalk project on Bryn Mawr Avenue conditional on pre-construction erosion controls.
